Disclaimer & Trademark Notice
1. Trademarks and third-party brands
Paper Lane Books sells its own digital editions of public-domain books. The texts, editorial work and cover designs come from Standard Ebooks, a volunteer project that dedicates its productions to the public domain under the CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication. Paper Lane Books is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Standard Ebooks. Kindle, Send to Kindle, Kobo, Apple Books and Google Play Books are trademarks of their respective owners and are mentioned only to describe file compatibility; we are not affiliated with them.
All product names, logos and brands shown are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. Use of these names does not imply endorsement unless expressly stated.
2. Information on this site
We work hard to keep descriptions, compatibility information and prices accurate, but errors can occur. Information is provided for general purposes only and may change without notice. If you need certainty before buying (for example about region or device compatibility), ask us first.
3. Content credits and licences
Every book we sell is a public-domain work. The ebook editions — proofread text, markup, typography, metadata and cover designs — are produced by the volunteers of Standard Ebooks, who dedicate their contributions to the public domain under the CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication. We build the EPUB files and the online-reader edition we sell from the source files they publish on GitHub: we convert SVG images to PNG/JPEG, add an EPUB 2 table of contents and adapt the markup for our reader. We do not change the text. Standard Ebooks is not affiliated with Paper Lane Books and does not endorse this shop.
