About this book
Marcus Aurelius ruled the Roman Empire through war and plague, and kept a notebook of reminders to himself: to act justly, to accept what he could not change, and not to be thrown by other people’s anger or his own. He never meant it to be published.
Short, numbered reflections make this an ideal book to read a few pages at a time. This is George Long’s classic Victorian translation from the Greek.
